If you find yourselves with a few hours to spare over the bank holiday weekend; you should make your way to the Ideal Home Show in the RDS. It’s a biggy this year with lots of Inspiration and Ideas for your Home. With house prices on the rise and the Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) Scheme more people are looking to improve their home and there is certainly plenty of help on hand here.
The Royal Institute of Architects RIAI are on hand to give expert advice and tips on renovating your home. You can sit down with them for 30 minutes and get advice on a current project or an idea you may have for the future!
There are plenty of exhibitors and presentations on water conservation and how to save money!
Our favourite exhibitors:

Rhona Roe recently opened a new showroom in Carrickmines Dublin 18. Beautiful, elegant, sophisicated furniture with a French influence.
Lovely new range from Balterio, very affordable laminate floors in lovely grey-earthy tones. Can be seen in the Showhouse!
Super Stoage ideas for under the stairs!
The highlight of the exhibition every year is the Showhouse - this year was no exception. Designed by Denise O'Conor and Catherine Crowe, the house is open-plan; the garden, integral to the overall design and layout connect everything together. Indoor-Outdoor living, reminds me of a house you would find in Australia. Lovely colour scheme and a very relaxed Zen atmosphere.
